Metal Enclosure for Swimming Pools

Metal Enclosure for Swimming Pools
7 May 2018

Features of the Enclosure

This enclosure is designed to act as a protection system to prevent access to swimming pools for children under 5 years, to comply with the NF P90-306 standard.

It is made up of separate 2050 mm long panels, to create a safety perimeter around swimming pools that can be easily adapted to suit the terrain and shape required. The crossbeams are fixed to the posts by means of a system of fastening clips that adapt to the different angles that can occur around the enclosure, for both the round and square posts. The clips have a tolerance between post centres of ±16 mm (8 mm each end).

The enclosure is assembled and fastened using clips with threaded screws, with no need for welding. There is also a screw cap to prevent tampering with the fastening system.

The enclosure must be installed leaving a gap of at least one metre around the entire perimeter.

There are no parts lower than 1.10 metres which children could grasp to climb over. And there should be no objects closer than 1.10 metres from the enclosure which children can climb onto. Access is through a gate 1.10 meters wide, hinged and opening outwards. Opening the provided lock requires a manual force of at least 20 N, and two consecutive independent actions, maintaining the first action.

The gate can be placed in any section of the enclosure as it is installed together with a 950 mm panel to maintain the same distance of 2050±16 mm between post centres as in the other sections.
