Folded Mesh Enclosure with Grooved Posts

Folded Mesh Enclosure with Grooved Posts
7 May 2018

This folded mesh enclosure is one of our products with a wider range of uses and one of the most popular in our catalogue of enclosures. These fences constitute a perimeter system of panels with longitudinal reinforcement folds and a few centimetres cut off at the top as a safety measure. There are several models of posts and accessories for quick fastening and assembly of the panels. This folded mesh fence with grooved posts is suitable for residential areas, industrial, sports facilities or public works, among others.

Anchoring the Posts

The posts are anchored upright, usually sunk in concrete, leaving an exposed height that is 50 mm higher than the mesh. It is advisable to position the posts with the flat side facing outside, although the Ø 50 mm posts can also be placed with the flat side facing the inside. The distance between post centres is 2560.5 ± 7 mm.

Mounting the Brackets

The inside brackets are inserted at the top of the post. Use at least 2 to 4 brackets, depending on the mesh folds. The spacing between brackets also depends on the type of mesh.

Next, fasten on the folded mesh. The correct way to position the brackets is to place one below the bottom mesh fold and another above the top fold, to prevent the mesh from moving up and down.

Then fix the mesh by fastening the outside bracket with the Torx screw. Leave a 25 mm gap between the ground and the mesh, and another 25 mm gap at the top of the post.

Finally, the only thing left to do is to insert the plastic plug in the top of the post.

To mount the corners, turn the post 45° so that it is easier to position the mesh. Position it 13 mm inside the fence to reduce the distance between centres to 2526.7 mm.
